Mind Viruses & Genetics

Melvin Dummar says a grand conspiracy has denied him his portion of billionaire Howard Hughes' vast estate. Many consider Dummar to be a fraud but an in-depth investigation by Gary Magnesen has apparently shown Dummar to be a good samaritan who saved Hughes from certain death. Both joined George Knapp to discuss why Hughes was in the desert, as well as those who schemed to deny Dummar and several institutions of their rightful share of the Hughes estate. In the first hour, veteran music journalist Joel Selvin talked about the notorious Rolling Stones Altamont concert of 1969, considered by many to be rock’s darkest day.

Mind Viruses & Genetics

Show Archive
Date: Monday - June 8, 2009
Host: George Noory
Guests: Wayne Dyer, Bruce Lipton, Gerald Celente

Renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development Dr. Wayne Dyer and foremost authority in bridging science and spirit Dr. Bruce Lipton discussed how genes and DNA do not control our body, and how MEMES, or mind viruses, are infecting our population. Viruses function to duplicate, infiltrate, and spread, and so it is with mental or cultural beliefs which people have been programmed with, Dyer noted. 95% of behavior stems from thoughts and beliefs stored in the subconscious mind, and most of these came from other people, and tend to be self-sabotaging, Lipton pointed out.

I use the term "habitual mind," instead of what Bruce calls subconscious, said Dyer, explaining that people have a lot of "excuses" in their head as to why they can't effect change-- such as 'I'm too old,' 'I'm too busy,' etc. But when you change the way you look at things, things start to change, he commented. You can overcome limiting ideas, he advised, and not always believe everything you think-- most of what you think doesn't hold up.

Dr. Lipton talked about his understanding of "epigenetics"-- how genetic change in people can occur through the adjusting of their perceptions. We can be the architects of our genetic blueprint, he said, and use the stem cells within our body to manifest miracles. The human community is going through an "evolutionary upheaval," moving past the mental programming that emphasizes our separateness from one another, Lipton concluded.

Economic Analysis

In the first hour, trends analyst Gerald Celente offered commentary about the economy. The American bailout plan has been driven by a kind of "optimism opium," and other countries are starting to express concern over how the US keeps printing money without anything to back it up, he said. Wall Street has "hijacked" Washington and we're heading into an "Obamageddon," he added.
