Date: Friday - November 11, 2011
Host: George Noory
Guests: Dannion Brinkley, Glynis McCants

In the first hour, author and hospice volunteer Dannion Brinkley talked about some of the challenges veterans face and how we can help them to heal and reintegrate back into normal life. Our country is currently involved in five conflicts, including the longest war in U.S. history in Afghanistan. These wars are damaging young Americans at an alarming rate emotionally and physically, Brinkley said, noting that wounded soldiers who have lost a limb often return home to discover they cannot get a prosthesis. They are also adversely and disproportionately affected by homelessness and unemployment, he added. Brinkely praised the Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation program as 'miraculous' and 'innovative' in helping veterans reduce stress and rejoin society.

Todd Barrow, an inventor in St. Louis, phoned in to announce he will be donating 100 of his Freedom Paks, as well as 100 American Flag Crystal Pins and 100 American flag water color print cards to Brinkley's Twilight Brigade. Aaron in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, spoke about his volunteer work with Guitars For Vets, a program which provides free guitar lessons to injured veterans to reduce Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms (anxiety, panic, depression, etc). World famous ventriloquist/impressionist Terry Fator also called in to discuss his work with various military charities, such as the Wounded Warrior Project, and to surprise Brinkley with an $11,111 donation to Twilight Brigade.

In the middle two hours, numerologist Glynis McCants addressed the significance of the date 11/11/11 and spoke with callers about their numbers. "The eleven eleven means the universe is wide open to what it is you want," McCants revealed, adding that the number '11' looks like a doorway ready to open to numerous opportunities. The date breaks down to a number '8', which is the money number, she continued, noting that the stock market went up on Friday. McCants recommended that listeners light a white candle and write down what they hope to achieve before year's end, as 11/11/11 can represent the launch of a new venture. She also explained how to find one's Life Path Number and what the specific numbers mean, commented on several current events, and discussed her forthcoming web project that will help match people for friendship and love based on their number charts.

Open Lines followed in the final hour.

A University of Texas Dallas physicist has demonstrated a technology that may one day lead to Harry Potter-like invisibility cloaks. Ali Aliev, the scientist behind the discovery, uses carbon nanotubes the size of pieces of thread. As the threads are rapidly heated, objects behind them appear to disappear in an effect similar to a mirage. Check out the video at Yahoo! News.
