Chinese Astrology & Sunspots

A remarkable discovery has emerged in astrophysics: key properties of the universe have just the right values to make life possible. Most scientists prefer to explain away this uniqueness, insisting that a number of unseen universes must therefore exist, each randomly different. Astrophysicist Bernard Haisch joins George Knapp to propose the alternative—that the special properties of our universe reflect an underlying intelligence. In the second half, veteran journalist Chris Taylor will discuss how the Star Wars franchise has conquered our culture with a sense of lightness and exuberance, while remaining serious enough to influence politics, and spread a spirituality that appeals to religious groups and atheists alike.

From 6-10pm PT, Art Bell: Somewhere in Time returns to 6/23/95 for one of Richard C. Hoagland's first show appearances. He addresses NASA's cover-up of the 'Face on Mars.' Listen here.

Chinese Astrology & Sunspots

Show Archive
Date: Saturday - February 4, 2012
Host: John B. Wells
Guests: Maurice Cotterell, Russ Baker

Engineer and scientist Maurice Cotterell discussed astrology and the effects of the sunspot cycle on human personality and behavior, as well as other topics from his book, FutureScience.

Twitter Censorship

In the first hour, investigative reporter Russ Baker commented on Twitter's announcement about restricting tweets in countries where the government declares the tweets illegal. Essentially, their decision means that in some nations people will not be allowed free expression via Twitter, he explained. Baker suggested that the new censorship ruling may be due in part to Twitter's relationship with a wealthy Saudi prince, who recently bought a large stake in the company and has a clear agenda in restricting tweets. Baker also explained about how Israel may act as America's fall guy in a possible forthcoming conflict with Iran.
