Archons & Mount Shasta/ Gobekli Tepe

Date: 05-06-14
Host: George Noory
Guests: Jay Weidner, Andrew Collins

In the first half, author and filmmaker Jay Weidner talked about the entities known as archons, as well as his research into the mysteries, and mythic back stories of Mount Shasta (featured in his latest movie "Shasta"). Archons were described in the ancient Nag Hammadi texts as parasitic off-world beings who came to Earth and invaded the minds of certain humans, and over the years, many of these invaded humans have risen to positions of power throughout society, Weidner stated. The Archons try to create situations with as much bloodshed, agony, and chaos as possible, as they feed off human fear, he explained. "The Gnostics would tell us this was not going on before the Archon invasion of about 3,500 to 6,000 years ago...and this is the cause of all of our strife," he added.

The Indians have long said that the "Shining Ones" live up on Mount Shasta, a volcano in Northern California, which has huge lava tubes extending for miles in all directions. Lore has it that there's an alien base in the mountain, and there may be a variety of cryptozoological creatures that live in the tubes, such as Bigfoot, that come out at night, said Weidner. There is also the legend that a lost group of humans or "relic population," who escaped from an earlier civilization such as Lemuria, lives hidden underground or in the tubes of Shasta, he shared.

In the latter half, author and researcher Andrew Collins spoke about his just released book, Gobekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods, which explores the mysterious megalithic complex in Turkey that has been dated to 12,000 years ago. "It's the smoking gun for a lost civilization," he said of the site, which features large stones and pillars covered in carvings of animals, and odd subjects. Adding to the mystery, the site was covered up around 10,000 years ago, and only about 1/10 has been excavated by archaeologists over the last 15 years.

Collins has concluded there was a devastating cataclysm around 10,900 BC involving comet impacts and flooding, and the people at Gobekli Tepe were in fear of another such catastrophe and built the stone complex as way to appease supernatural creatures which they saw as a "sky wolf" or "sky fox." Further, he believes that some of the builders, hunters and miners from Carpathian mountains, were human-Neanderthal hybrids who were extremely tall and strong. These striking beings may have been the source of legend behind tales of the "Shining Ones," the Watchers, the Nephilim and the Annunaki, he suggested.
