Recap

Full Moon Friday

During Friday night's Open Lines, a caller from Tucson claimed to have a unusual tape recording of a recent Coast show on time travel in which the speed of George's voice mysteriously slowed while discussing time speeding up. The caller's friend, who also recorded the show, verified the anomaly and played the recording on air.

A caller to the "Scariest Moment of Your Life" hotline said his house was possessed by 40 to 50 evil spirits. He believes these spirits are fallen angels, and professed to have a relationship with one called "Frank." George requested the caller ask Frank about the existence of aliens and Atlantis. According to the troubled angel, aliens exist and can capture and "eat" spirits like him. Frank also said Atlantis was real but was overturned by the wrath of God for immorality.

A police officer from Maine recounted the time he and his partner were called to check an unoccupied house where neighbors noticed a light in an upstairs room. The officer said a strange feeling came over him as he approached the house, but he discovered no signs of forced entry or anything unusual -- except for the power meter which was not running. Upon entering the house, the officer said he found a padlock on the outside of the door to the upstairs room. The officer alleges the owner of the house told him her husband had died in that room.

The researchers at Paranormal Investigation have prepared an interactive Flash demonstration based on the work of Cleve Backster. Using a sensitive EEG device, Backster discovered that plants had a measurable reaction when the researcher merely thought about harming them, and could also "remember" the person who threatened them.
