Numbers & You

Welcoming in 2005, the 'Numbers Lady,' Glynis McCants, returned to the show. A professional numerologist, she uses a system based on the "vibrations" or energy associated with the numbers 1-9, to analyze people, places and events. 2005 is a "7" (2+0+0+5 = 7) and this number is related to water which correlates with all the storms that we've been having, she said. The new year will also be about "spiritual warfare," she continued, with people asking 'what kind of difference can I make?'

Certain number combinations follow people around and could be sending a message, she noted. For instance, if you are often seeing 333 (a 9) this might be telling you it's time to get in touch with your family. She revealed that people who have a Lifepath number of "5" tend to be luckier than others, and are more likely to have gambling wins.

It's possible to alter the energy around your home and life by using numbers, McCants said. Here are some examples she gave: To bring a new love relationship into your life, place a number 2 on the inside of your bedroom door. To become more popular place a number 3 on the outside of your door. To bring more money into your wallet, put a number 8 in it.

After Dark Sneak Peek

In the January issue of After Dark Corinna Underwood's cover story probes the mystery of alleged time traveler John Titor. In these excerpts she recounts Titor's description of life in post-nuclear war America circa 2036:

Titor painted a vivid picture of his future where society is radically different from the one we know today. He told of how after the war, the United States split into five separate regions based on the amenities and military objectives they each had. The Capitol of the U.S. was moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and despite the war, Russia eventually became the largest trading partner with the U.S….

After the war, Titor said, early new communities gathered around the remaining universities (in his time called forts) because of their libraries. Titor himself went to school at University of Florida, which in 2036 is called the Fort UF. According to Titor, in 2036, most communities range in size from 1,000 to 4,000 people and each is run by a community leadership council. The council has the authority to decide whether members from one community may move to another based on whether they have the practical skills required by that particular community.
