9-11 & Oklahoma City

Investigative reporter Peter Lance returned to the show on the 10th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing to share information about that case, as well as material he has uncovered about the 9-11 attacks. One of his central findings is that Ramzi Yousef was the architect of the 9-11 plot, hatching it in the Philippines in 1994. According to his investigation, the Feds became aware of the scheme in 1995, but were hindered by communication failures and cover-ups between intelligence agencies and the Justice Dept.

Lance reported that a convicted Mafia member named Greg Scarpa Jr. was in a cell next to Yousef, and tipped the FBI that there were al Qaeda connections to both the TWA Flight 800 crash and the Oklahoma City bombing. While Lance believes Scarpa's information is valid, the Justice Dept. has labeled it a scam, he said.

In the case of Flight 800, al Qaeda agents planted a bomb aboard the plane, Lance suggested. In the Oklahoma City bombing, he said there is strong circumstantial evidence that connects Terry Nichols with Yousef, during a period when they were both in the Philippines. He theorized that McVeigh and Nichols were patsies who were used by al Qaeda to carry out their agenda.
