Bigfoot Roundtable

A remarkable discovery has emerged in astrophysics: key properties of the universe have just the right values to make life possible. Most scientists prefer to explain away this uniqueness, insisting that a number of unseen universes must therefore exist, each randomly different. Astrophysicist Bernard Haisch joined George Knapp in the first half of the show to propose the alternative—that the special properties of our universe reflect an underlying intelligent consciousness.

In the second half of the program, veteran journalist Chris Taylor talked about how the Star Wars franchise has conquered our culture with a sense of lightness and exuberance, while remaining serious enough to influence politics, and spread a spirituality that appeals to religious groups and atheists alike.

Bigfoot Roundtable

Show Archive
Date: Tuesday - May 3, 2005
Host: George Noory
Guests: Loren Coleman, Tom Biscardi, Jimmy Chilcutt, Smokey Crabtree

Researcher Loren Coleman and expedition leader Tom Biscardi were joined by fingerprint technician Jimmy Chilcutt (2nd Hour) and author Smokey Crabtree (3rd Hour) to discuss the elusive creature known as Bigfoot. The evening kicked off with a playing of the song I Still Believe in Bigfoot by Danny Freyer, which was followed by a discussion about the soon-to-be-released Bigfoot video footage from Canada. Coleman said that the creature was photographed from 750 ft. away, so there may be resolution problems, and Biscardi commented that he'd been in touch with the photographer, Bobby Clarke, who impressed him as a reliable witness.

Chilcutt reported that the dermal ridges he's studied had been replicated into a cast by Matt Crowley. Biscardi said his group has some hand casts which they hope to show at their upcoming Bigfoot Museum, being planned for a San Francisco location. While he feels we "may be getting very close" to a definitive discovery, Coleman noted that the Bigfoot field was hampered by "in-fighting," between East vs. West, academics vs. field researchers and other types of divisiveness.

Crabtree shared recollections of an 8-ft. skeleton he found in Arkansas, which he said had 4 toes, in contrast to some 3-toed tracks that had also been seen in the area. Coleman suggested that because of the way the skeleton's legs are articulated that it could have been a large cat, such as a lion. During the last hour, callers shared their Bigfoot encounters, which included the tale of a man who said he fell into the creatures' nest. An animal communicator named Kathleen also phoned in, presenting information she had telepathically gleaned from a Bigfoot. "If we are extinguished then you will be gone too," the creature allegedly told her.
