Tornado Dreams
During the first hour, paranormal expert and author
Rosemary Ellen Guiley discussed George's tornado dreams and offered possible interpretations. In his dream, George reported seeing three large tornados tearing through some western city, perhaps Los Angeles. Guiley explained that tornados were a "symbol of sudden and unexpected change."
According to Guiley, George's dream may be a precognition of some event that will effect a large number of people. She said there were increasing incidence of this kind of dream as more and more people tap into the "planetary consciousness" and share collective anxiety over the economy, oil prices, terrorism, and other unpredictable changes.
Guiley said the three tornados in George's dream were significant too, as the number "3" represents change, especially spiritual change. Guiley suggested that even though the dream may be of a future devastating event, it could also have a positive outcome. She recommended
Coast listeners focus thoughts and prayers as a "counterforce" against this possible cataclysmic event.

Anger, Broken Electronics & More
Disturbed by conversation he overheard in a restaurant, George offered an "Anger" hotline for people who have been mad enough to kill. Tony from Sacramento, California described a mission he took part in during his Iraq deployment to find the person responsible for killing a member of his platoon. After tracking down the perpetrator, he said he wanted to kill him, but something prevented him from doing it. His men were later disarmed, he explained, to avoid the temptation of taking justice into their own hands. A 19-year-old girl also called in to inform George that she has often thought about killing people, and believes she would be quite good at it. After listening, George suggested she talk to a counselor about her unhealthy compulsion.
Friday night's
Open Lines also featured many other interesting calls. A caller from Daytona Beach, Florida recounted the time he saw a lake monster called "Champ" in Vermont. He said it had four or five humps and moved in the water at 15 miles an hour. Todd in Alabama claimed to have designed and built a "fuel-less" generator. According to Todd, the generator is electrically-powered (by a battery) and lasts indefinitely. He estimated the cost of a generator that could run an entire household at $18,000 to $20,000.
John in California described his unique ability to fix broken electronics using only the power of his mind. George asked him to concentrate on repairing non-functioning items belonging to members of the
Coast audience. Several listeners reported via
Fast Blast that their busted electronics mysteriously began working again. One listener said his cell phone, which has not worked for months, rang (though no one was on the other end). Another listener said his wife's watch started up again after being dead for a month.
