The Myth of Peak Oil
Documentary filmmaker
Alex Jones and
PrisonPlanet.com editor
Paul Joseph Watson shared what they believe is overwhelming evidence that 'peak oil' scenarios are fabricated to raise the cost of fossil fuels. "There's oil coming out of our ears," Jones stated, noting that not only can oil can be found virtually anywhere on Earth, but several of the world's oil fields, such as Eugene Island in the Gulf of Mexico, appear to be refilling themselves.
Watson discussed recently uncovered confidential memos from Mobil, Chevron and Texaco that outline a deliberate plan to create artificial scarcity by shutting down or reducing the capacity of oil refineries in the United States. He also talked about the closing of Shell's highly profitable oil refinery in Bakersfield, California -- a move he thought was done in order to manipulate oil prices.
Both guests maintain that the truth about the world's potentially limitless oil supply is being suppressed by large oil cartels, who seek to control the population by limiting the availability of energy -- a practice Jones called "neo-feudalism." According to Jones, who claims the U.S. went into Iraq to "stop the oil from flowing," the ultimate goal of the global elite is to destroy the middle class.
