Campfire Stories
The last half of Friday's program was
Open Lines, with a special topic line for people with unforgettable 'campfire stories.' A trucker named John remembered seeing a frightening 3-ft tall creature that resembled a small man hiding behind a redwood tree. John said he was unnerved by the way the little man growled at him as it ran off.
Emily in Hawaii shared the time her little boy was run over by a car and was dead for 45 minutes. After trying unsuccessfully to revive him, Emily said she cried out to God for her son's life and he was sent back to her. Interestingly, Emily noted that her son recalls floating above his body during the time he was dead.

C2C Science Advisor
Richard C. Hoagland appeared during the first half-hour to comment on the first
images (scroll down) taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). The new MRO images may show the ruins of a massive artificial structure, Hoagland suggested.
Recap
Alien Implant Update
In the second half-hour,
George Noory was joined by ufologist
Dr. Roger Leir, who discussed findings from an
alien implant removal surgery he performed on December 5, 2003.
Leir described the removed object (see
Alien Implant Photos below) as a magnetic, metallic rod, 6mm in length with distinctive groove lines. Scanning electronic microscopy and x-ray diffraction tests revealed the implant was composed primarily of iron with an amorphous structure, which Leir said was odd for something that was highly magnetic.
Leir stayed on through the second hour to take listeners' calls and also talked about a movie he is currently developing called
Earth's Original Sin. In the final hour, George played audio from the December 5th implant removal operation, which he and
Coast line producer Tom Danheiser attended.
