book link), who helped advance stop motion animation techniques and produced such classic films as
Jason and the Argonauts and
Clash of the Titans. Harryhausen said he worked alone on his films, toiling for four months to create the 5-minute skeleton sword battle sequence in
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. Despite the rise of computer animation in films, Harryhausen believes there's still room for stop motion.
