Creepy Calls

During Open Lines, George offered a special hotline for callers who wanted to share their disturbing encounters with 'creepy people.' A caller from Baton Rouge remembered walking back home from the Louisiana State University campus one day when he passed by a bum sitting on an old couch. Upon arriving at his apartment, the caller said he showered and then walked (naked) into his bedroom, where he discovered the bum he'd seen on the couch sleeping in his bed.

Phil in Bristol, Virginia claimed he and a friend had a paranormal encounter in the chapel of a local college. According to Phil, they heard what sounded like young girls wispering and then some unseen force pushed down his companion. There are rumors that the ghost of a woman who smells like roses haunts the chapel, Phil explained, commenting that they smelled roses that night.

Another caller shared his UFO abduction experience. The caller said he had a 'dream' about laying on a table in a glowing white room with three beings looking over him. At the end of the show, George presented his rendition of H.G. Wells' The Story of the Inexperienced Ghost, which is one of the featured tracks on the After Dark double CD set.
