'Fright Night' Calls

George hosted an evening of 'Fright Night' Open Lines. John from Wisconsin shared a scary boyhood encounter he had with a shadow person. He said when he spotted it, the dark man-shaped figure ducked behind a window and then vanished. Weeks later John claims to have again encountered a "black shadow," this time in his bedroom pushing down on the foot of his bed. According to John, his father also confronted this creature when after a fight with his wife he spent a night in John's bedroom. Several other callers phoned in to tell of their encounters with shadow people and "man in a hat" apparitions.

Former Methodist pastor Don shared a story about an amazing after death communication one of his parishioners received from his deceased son. After the funeral Leonard was driving his son's truck home, Don explained, when a figure that looked like his son emerged from a ditch, walked towards the truck and asked to drive. While driving down a side road, Leonard's dead son comforted him until he reached a point beyond which he was not permitted to go any further. According to Don, Leonard watched his son walk into the woods and vanish.

George also interviewed an asthmatic vampire from Mississippi. He shared the details of his "awakening," as well as helped George separate Hollywood myths from real vampire facts, covering such topics as blood drinking, longevity, and types of vampires (sanguinarian, energy, etc.).
