Lamar Waldron, Tim Miller, Nina Burleigh

In our 6th annual JFK Assassination Special, Ian was joined by a panel of experts for a discussion about who really murdered the late president. In the first half hour, Ian talked with publisher Tim Miller about John F. Kennedy: Assassination Report of the Warren Commission, a new leather-bound edition signed by President Gerald R. Ford and containing his final comments on the JFK assassination. In the new forward, Ford admits the CIA destroyed documents connected to the 1963 assassination of President Kennedy. Miller also said he believes Ford promised members of the Commission that he would keep to the lone gunman story, "even though it has become obvious there was a conspiracy."

Next, Saint John Hunt, son of former CIA agent and Watergate conspirator E. Howard Hunt, discussed his new e-book, Bond of Secrecy, as well as what his father knew about the plot to kill JFK. According to Hunt, his father was "a point man at Dealey Plaza, setting up the triangulation fire for the three snipers that were there that day." Ian played the infamous audio confession (listen here) in which E. Howard Hunt discloses his own involvement and names others who participated in the assassination of JFK. Author Nina Burleigh joined in the conversation at the end of the second hour to share her research into Mary Meyer, ex-wife of Cord Meyer and mistress of John F. Kennedy. Hunt suggested that Mary Meyer was murdered because she knew about the plot to kill JFK.

During the last two hours, JFK Historian and author of Legacy of Secrecy, Lamar Waldron discussed his research into the assassination of President Kennedy. Waldron shared details about the little-publicized attempts by the mafia to kill JFK in Chicago and Tampa. He spoke about John and Robert Kennedy's plan for a coup in Cuba, where Fidel Castro was to be assassinated and his death blamed on the Russians. Waldron also commented on the E. Howard Hunt confession audio. He said Hunt's "cobbled together" story is filled with inconsistencies and inaccuracies, and there is no evidence to back up what he said.
