Reverse Speech/ Demons

Show Archive
Date: Thursday - September 5, 2013
Host: George Noory
Guests: David John Oates, Joshua P. Warren

Hypnotherapist David John Oates has developed a technology known as "reverse speech" which he claims can give us new understandings of language and the human mind. In the first half, he demonstrated how this technology can be used to determine deeper meanings in the way individuals deliver key words and phrases. His theory, he explained, is that reverse speech is a form of communication in which people are saying two things at once-- forwards in the conscious (left brain), and backwards in the unconscious (right brain). Humans have the tendency to not tell the whole truth or hide information, and this is the brain's way of revealing it, he continued.

Oates incorporates reverse speech as part of his therapeutic approach with clients, and the technique helps him to quickly pinpoint underlying issues. For instance, one woman spoke to him about money problems, but her reverse speech indicated she had yet to deal with grief issues. A number of his audio samples were played on the air including recordings of such people as Patsy Ramsey and John Edwards, with the backward audio indicating remarks that ran counter to what their forward speech was saying. Oates also announced a forthcoming reverse speech app for the iPhone, which will enable people to record conversations and play them back forwards or backwards, vary the speeds, and share the files on a community forum.

In the latter half, paranormal investigator Joshua P. Warren discussed how demonic forces can prey upon people, as well as other types of supernatural activity. There are negative entities that can feed on susceptible humans' bio-energy, and if you allow these beings to do this, "you become depleted, you become negative, and you become vampiric and parasitic yourself," he remarked. To fend off such attacks, he suggested that people strengthen their spiritual health, and maintain a positive focus.

There are demonic or negative beings that observe people during the sleep state, when we are most vulnerable, and absorb energy from us, he continued. One method of deterring them is to sprinkle a circle of salt around the sleeping body. Salt is a crystal that alters the electromagnetic field and can prevent the beings from manifesting, he noted. Warren also shared that he has made available a new free audio book, titled The Oblivious Gods.
