An Indian snake charmer's show ended before it could even begin when a hungry monkey swooped in and stole his star attraction! The bizarre scene reportedly took place outside of a temple in the town of Vrindavan last week and was captured by CCTV cameras watching over the area.
In the amusing footage, the snake charmer can be seen seemingly preparing to begin his performance by pulling a cobra out of a basket. However, lurking over his shoulder is one member of the audience that was more interested in food than entertainment. Much to the snake charmer's surprise and subsequent chagrin, a rhesus monkey quickly scrambles over from behind the man and snatches the cobra out of his hands.
The clever creature then swiftly scales the temple wall and disappears with the pilfered cobra. Surprisingly, the outraged snake charmer actually attempts to pursue the sticky-fingered simian by climbing atop a vendor's cart. According to witnesses who watched the weird encounter unfold, the man eventually returned to his spot with only a bruised ego and a snake-charming show with its centerpiece cobra conspicuously absent.
