To celebrate our upcoming Ghost to Ghost special on Halloween night, C2C is revisiting all thirteen installments of the annual spooktacular in the Coast archive.
Today we highlight an unnerving tale from the 2007 edition of Ghost to Ghost, when Candy from Sacramento detailed her childhood encounter with a demonic entity.
"I haven't told many people this throughout my lifetime," she said, mustering up the courage to share her story with the Coast listeners.
The incident occurred when she was six-years-old and her family went away on a trip, but she opted to stay home with her grandfather.
As young Candy sat coloring pictures at the dining room table, she heard the organ in her bedroom suddenly start playing music.
"I knew I didn't leave it on and it didn't play by itself," she said, describing the music as "beautiful, yet eerie."
Candy tried to ignore the unexplained music, thinking it would stop at some point, but it just kept going.
She finally decided to investigate the situation and headed towards her bedroom.
"When I went down the hallway," she recalled, "there was this chill in the air."
As she got closer, the music grew louder until she arrived at the doorway of the bedroom.
"When I turned into the doorway," she said, "there was this thing that I can't describe to anybody."
Prompted for a description of the 'thing,' Candy said it was "unearthly" and possessed a glowing red body and theorized that "it must have been a demon that I saw."
"It looked straight at me with yellow eyes," she remembered, "it was the most unbelievable, indescribable being."
"I'm shaking right now," the clearly distressed caller said as she recounted the story.
Trying once again to take control of the situation, Candy demanded that the entity leave the home in the name of Jesus Christ.
"It lifted it's head up like it had never been told this before," she said, "and just vanished."
