The hacktivist group known as 'Anonymous' have released a chilling new video where they warn that a conflict between the United States and North Korea will spark World War III.
The eerie footage features the group's trademark figure, an individual wearing a Guy Fawkes mask and speaking with a distorted voice, telling viewers that "all the signs of a looming war on the Korean peninsula are surfacing."
The speaker goes on to observe that various nations are taking steps to prepare for this conflict which will be "fierce, brutal, and quick."
Among the worrisome events noted by the narrator are China telling its citizens in North Korea to leave the country as soon as they can and the United States recent test of an ICBM capable of hitting the Hermit Kingdom.
Warnings from the Japanese government to their citizens as well as influx of American troops in Australia are also pointed to as signs that war is imminent.
The video goes on to suggest that differing geopolitical interests will draw the world's superpowers into this conflict on the Korean peninsula and, in turn, cause smaller nations to also choose sides.
Ultimately, it says, the battle could erupt into World War III and that viewers need to be prepared for such a development because "the citizen will be the last to know."
