Apocalypse Later? Author Says October is True Start of 'End Times'

With rumors swirling that September 23rd will see the world come to an end, one of the people often cited for the claim is trying to clear up confusion surrounding the prediction.

Despite believing that apocalyptic events are soon due to unfold, astronomer and author David Meade says that we are almost certainly going to survive this coming Saturday.

According to him, the celestial events occurring tomorrow, which many cite as evidence for the end of the world, are merely "time markers."

"The mainstream media states that something visible will occur on these dates," Meade laments, "I don't believe that."

On the contrary, Meade says that there will only be some kind of 'spiritual sign' on Saturday and points to October as the month in which we should worry as it will officially mark the literal 'beginning of the end.'

However, even then humanity will likely be okay for a little while as he notes that whatever happens next month should serve as the dawn of a seven year period of tribulation.

It is during that time, Meade contends, that the infamous Niburu will arrive and wreak havoc on our planet, possibly ushering in the antichrist and/or the Rapture.

As to when, precisely, the October event will occur, he now suspects that it will be on the 21st of the month.

While some may scoff at Meade's clarifications and allege that they are simply his attempt to save face, the author did, in fact, predict October as the month to watch earlier this year and seems to have simply been swept up in the media furor surrounding September 23rd that has exploded this week.

If you find yourself scratching your head at this point and not quite knowing what to believe when it comes the end of the world, you're not alone.

But try not to fret too much, since figuring out the start date for Armageddon never seems to go very smoothly as countless prognosticators from the past can attest.

And so, for now, feel free to just rest easy knowing that we'll all likely live to see September 24th.
