Midwest Fireballs

Fireballs were seen streaking all across the Midwest skies last night. It's thought that the objects were probably meteors (an AMS(1) photo from the Orionids shower in 2006 is pictured), though no major meteor showers were expected in the area. Read more in this AP article(2).
