Researcher Says Mystery Metal is from Ancient UFO

A Romanian UFO researcher claims that a strange metallic object has been determined to be over 250,000 years old and constitutes evidence that ancient aliens visited the Earth.

The angular chunk of aluminum was discovered in Romania in 1973, but had been kept secret by the country's then-communist government until recently.

According to ufologist Gheorghe Cohal, new tests done on the metal indicate that it is hundreds of thousands of years old.

Since humans did not begin developing aluminum until about 200 years ago, the mysterious metal object has led to considerable speculation that it did not originally come from Earth.

The director of a Romanian UFO research group, Cohal asserted to local media that the analysis also revealed that "the substances it comprises cannot be combined with technology available on Earth."

As such, he declared that "it is an old UFO fragment."

Although some local historians dispute this conclusion, it appears that the tests swayed the opinion of the Romanian museum where the object is on display as it now features a note saying "origin of object unknown."

Intriguingly, the anomalous metal was found alongside a pair of bones that experts say came from a large unknown mammal that died tens-of-thousands of years ago.

So while the UFO hypothesis is tantalizing, an even more fantastic possibility is that the bones and out-of-place metal came from an advanced ancient civilization rather than interloping aliens.

Given the publicity surrounding the object, one hopes that it can be further studied so that more can be learned about the mystery metal.

Failing that, it will likely be relegated to yet another out-of-place object that vexes historians and hints that our planet's past is far complex than we were taught in school.
