Tonight's guest, the prolific author Deepak Chopra, has gathered a large following based around his concepts on the mind-body connection and Ayurvedic (ancient Indian) healing. One topic he has repeatedly addressed in books such as Grow Younger, Live Longer, is that of aging.
Chopra believes much of the aging process can actually be reversed or forestalled.Perception plays a large role, and he suggests that by living in the moment you can get in touch with the part of yourself that is timeless. Whether through meditation or just being fully present "when you metabolize the experience of eternity your body doesn't age," he said in an interview(1) with Veronica Hay.
Among Chopra's other tips for staying young are:
