Watch: Diver Films Rare Swimming Feather Star

A diver exploring the waters off of Thailand captured rare and incredible footage of a sea creature known as a feather star swimming.

The mesmerizing video shows the breathtaking denizen of the deep, otherwise known as a crinoid, traveling through the water by flipping its feather-like appendages.

Although feather stars are frequently seen underwater, they are almost always spotted resting on rocks or other objects rather than swimming.

Considering how amazing the creature looks when it isn't resting, perhaps this particular crinoid was tired of being overlooked and decided to put on a show for the awestruck driver who encountered it.
