After noticing a series of strange occurrences around his home, a Seattle area man was stunned to discover that someone had been living in his attic!
Davis Wahlman was initially nonchalant about the odd events, such as lights being left on when they should be off and a dislodged window screen in his bathroom.
However when he heard a disturbance in the attic above his bedroom one morning, Wahlman's interest piqued considerably and he began looking around to see what was causing it.
Much to his surprise, he eventually found the door to his office inexplicably locked, leading to an unforgettable exchange.
Knocking on the door, Wahlman was greeted by a woman he had never seen before in his life.
When he asked what she was doing in his home, she informed him that "this is my house. I live here. I've been here for three days."
Wahlman called the police in the hopes of getting help with the situation, but the unwanted houseguest managed to escape before the cops could arrive.
Surprisingly, in light of the creepy nature of the incident, Wahlman was rather unperturbed by the intruder and actually marveled at her brazen attitude.
"To come into a house like this, in this neighborhood, that's clearly being lived in, that's bold," he told KOMO Seattle.
While he seemed to admire the woman's chutzpah, we're guessing that Wahlman won't be opening his doors for her if she decides to return.
