Hayabusa-2 Seeks New Asteroid Insights

Japanese space agency JAXA will continue its groundbreaking research into asteroids when it launches the Hayabusa-2 probe next week. After its predecessor successfully captured samples from an asteroid in 2010, the sequel spacecraft will undertake a far more elaborate research mission as Hayabusa-2 will survey asteroid 1999 JU3 for an entire year and also deploy four rovers in the hopes of obtaining samples which may shed light on the organic chemical composition of the object.
