'Nessie' on the Sun

article's image

"The mystery of the Loch Ness Monster continues as the latest sighting appears to be on the Sun," jests Gary Palmer(1) who photographed(2) an undulating shape on the solar surface on April 19th. In addition, "solar prominences," filaments sprouting out from the edge of the sun, are also on the rise, and a number of photos of these have been posted on spaceweather.com
