Stunning Color Images of Saturn

article's image

NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which has spent eight years orbiting Saturn, captured stunning true-color images that show the changing hues of the planet's northern and southern hemispheres as they shift from one season to another. The amazing images also Saturn's largest moon, Titan, which at 3,200 miles across is larger than the planet Mercury. Titan is of particular interest to scientists because it resembles Earth several billion years ago, with an active atmosphere, organic-rich chemistry, and complex processes shaping its surface.
