VIDEO: Giant Red Ball Escapes in Toledo

A gigantic red ball escaped from an art installation thanks to high winds, and sent citizens scurrying. The huge 250 pound Red Ball tore free of its mooring between a jewelers shop and a restaurant in Toledo, Ohio and was blown down the street – bumping cars and nearly missing lampposts until it came to a stop. Bystanders can be seen chasing after the massive orb. The bizarre video was captured by Jeremy Falke from the safety of a nearby rooftop.

"It started pouring rain, so the ball was wet and slippery," Kelly Garrow, of the Toledo Museum of Art said. "The wind picked up and it popped up and just started going. It rolled about halfway down a block and then mysteriously took a left-hand turn. It made its way partially down the street before people caught up with it."
