Watch: Hillary Clinton Talks UFOs on Kimmel

March 25, 2016

In an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel program, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton once again expressed a positive perspective on UFOs and Area 51.

Her comments serve to reiterate a recurring message from the campaign that Clinton is open to discussing the phenomenon and possibly sharing some UFO secrets with the public.

During the conversation, Kimmel referenced his previous conversation with Bill Clinton on the program and noted that the former president said that he had looked into UFOs and Area 51 and "didn't find anything."

To that, the former Secretary of State said, "well ... I'm gonna do it again."

She was also quick to correct Kimmel by explaining that UFOs are now actually called 'unexplained aerial phenomenon' by researchers.

That observation suggests that, at the very least, Clinton is fairly familiar with the current state of UFO research.

As to what her plans would be if she is elected president, Clinton indicated that she was looking for greater transparency with regards to the phenomenon.

"I would like us to go into those files and hopefully make as much of it public as possible. If there's nothing there, let's tell people there's nothing there," she told Kimmel.

The comedian then asked, "what if there is something there?"

Clinton replied, "unless it's a threat to national security, I think we ought to share it with the public."

Based on her comments, UFO enthusiasts should be cautiously optimistic about how a Clinton presidency would handle the phenomenon.

An open and honest discussion about the issue on a national level would be the first time such a dialogue has occurred in the decades since the Condon Report killed Project Bluebook.

However, Clinton's concerns about the national security implications surrounding the phenomenon may prove to be more worrisome, since the government has often used that excuse to cover up UFO information.

Nonetheless, Clinton's comments make clear that she is aware of the phenomenon and takes it seriously, which makes her unique among politicians in both parties.

Whether that makes a difference in finding out answers to the UFO enigma in the future remains to be seen.
