'Extinct' Corpse-eating Fly Found

Thyreophora cynophila, a species of bone-skipper fly that enjoys feasting on carcasses in advanced stages of decay, was first identified in 1798. The strange insect disappeared from human notice and had been thought to be extinct for about 160 years before being rediscovered in Spain in 2010. Bone-skippers are active at night during the early winter months. More at NBCNews.com.
