  • About the show

Author and metaphysicist Robert Bruce returned to the show to share his knowledge and expertise on the subject of astral projection. In discussing induction techniques to leave one's body, he suggested practicing deep relaxation in a 37 degree horizontal position. One might feel their self getting heavier and then imagine climbing up a rope or a ladder, he suggested. This helps to "exteriorize your astral body," at which point you might feel sensations of spinning and vibrations.

There are number of astral dimensions or levels, said Bruce, with the first being a kind of "buffer zone" which is experienced as though one were a ghost traveling in the real world. Beyond that lie higher dimensions, he explained, describing some of his encounters with unusual beings who inhabit these realms.

He met two 7-ft. tall people in a tunnel, who called themselves "the Guardians," and said they came from a previous civilization. One of them held a kind of "telescope" which he said he used to view and influence thoughts of others at a distance. Further into the tunnel, they showed him a huge cave with an ocean, artificial sun and abandoned city. This was where a previous civilization came to save their gene pool, they claimed. Bruce also presented some energy exercises that he said can release blockages and make a person more spiritually and/or psychically perceptive.

    A Visit with Mr. Wizard

First hour guest, Don Herbert a.k.a. Mr. Wizard discussed his long TV career, which began with the show Watch Mr. Wizard on NBC in 1951. About to turn 88, Herbert said he has been gratified over the years by scientists he's met, that have told him that watching his program was what first got them interested in science.
