During the first half of the program, Core Love, an experiencer of 300 NDEs, discussed his contact with entities who have trained him in the secrets of energy, sacred geometry, and consciousness. Love's journey began at the age of 10, when he was in a severe car accident that caused him to lose all of his previous memories and also made his brain continually produce the chemical DMT. This resulted in his brain "surging into these high energy states." It was during these experiences, Love said, that he would encounter "beings who would actually take me on journeys and I'd see how other civilizations existed." After a period of five years where these events were a regular occurrence, he then began receiving lengthy sessions of channelled information that extrapolated on the lessons he'd learned in the previous years.
Sharing some of the knowledge he has received from these entities, Love revealed that human mortality is directly tied to memories. He claimed that as memories are accumulated, the human body deteriorates because it must use more and more energy to maintain these recollections inside the brain. "As we keep getting older," he explained, "that energy we used to use to run our body and to be healthy, is now being used to store data." According to Love, the body realizes at an early age that this mortal paradox is at work and it enters a "survival state." It then turns control over to the hypothalamus gland inside the brain rather than the pineal gland. As such, Love alleged that returning control back to the pineal gland will put a person on the path to enlightenment and, subsequently, immortality. While he admitted that his journey is still in progress, Love was confident that his physical body will last long into the future as a result of this insight.
In the latter half of the show, renowned author Erich Von Daniken talked about his research into ancient astronauts and how it relates to 2012. "It was a provocation, absolutely," he said, reflecting on the furor that surrounding the original publication of his book Chariots of the Gods in 1968. He recalled how the critics of the work failed to recognize the speculative nature of his research, noting "I had 238 question marks, but nobody mentioned the questions." On why the ancient astronaut theory has continued to gain popularity after all these years, Von Daniken credited the many other researchers who have helped to bolster his work. Additionally, he observed that the theory clarifies religious traditions by putting them into a modern framework. "We are looking at old stories with new eyes and an open brain," he declared.
Discussing his latest research into the ancient astronauts, Von Daniken addressed how the end of the Mayan calendar may fit into his theory. Based on his belief that ancient man mistook ETs for Gods, Von Daniken put forth the idea that the "returning Gods" prophesied by the Mayans are actually the ancient astronauts who created the human race. However, he was reticent to specify December 23, 2012 as the precise time for the return of these entities, because of the difficulty in synchronizing the Mayan calendar with our contemporary time keeping. "One thing is definitely correct," he asserted, "they will return, these extraterrestrials, but I will never fix on a date." Von Daniken also talked about mysterious discoveries found beneath the pyramids of Egypt, the ET connection to Stonehenge, and his investigation of the ancient Bolivian site Pumapunku.
While this creature may look like a Muppet gone awry or the infamous Chubacabra, it's actually a tube-nosed bat that was discovered in an area of Papa New Guinea dubbed the 'Lost World.' The winged-mammal was joined by nearly 200 other animals that were documented for the first-time ever after an expedition into the area. Among the other finds were a vibrant black-and-white striped opossum and a tree frog that is the size of a human thumbnail. You can check out the complete gallery of breathtaking discoveries here.
