In the first half, registered pharmacist, nutritionist and cosmetic chemist, Ben Fuchs shared alternative health concepts, and offered tips on supplements and healthy changes to one's diet and lifestyle. Sometimes we eat to satisfy "emotional vacancies," as with sugar products, but we can reach a more lasting sense of well being in healthier ways, he said, such as by achieving one's goals. It's important to pay attention to the digestion system, because malnutrition ensues when you can't absorb nutrients, he pointed out, adding that fasting can be helpful to give the body a break, and determine which foods are causing a problem.
High-blood pressure, he noted, can be helped by hot baths which reduce stress, and give the body a womb-like experience. He recommended eggs as a complete food (though some people have allergies to them) and poached or soft boiled, retain the most nutrients. "Bone broth is absolutely amazing for building things," he added, and it contains substances helpful for the immune system, and growth.
In the latter half, journalist and filmmaker Rich Martini discussed his journey searching for evidence of the afterlife via various means including hypnotherapy and past life regressions. He studied and filmed hypnotherapy sessions from James Newton, who was able to regress people into the state where they were in-between lives. Working with mediums, Martini believes he has communicated with a number of souls, including actors he was friendly with such as the recently departed Harry Dean Stanton, and Bill Paxton.
Stanton was well-known for being an atheist, and a non-believer. But in a session with medium Jennifer Schaffer, they were able to contact him through a mutual deceased friend. Stanton relayed that his crossover was a kind of "soft landing" guided by this friend, and involved meeting his miscarried child from 1962, and driving to the Monterrey Pop Festival in the 1960s, wherein he realized he was not dreaming but in the afterlife. While there is no time on the Other Side, Martini does believe there are old souls and new souls and we go through time to develop and learn.
