• As it is in Heaven: an interview with Dannion Brinkley
|
Dannion Brinkley is author of The Secrets of the Light, Saved by the Light, and At Peace in the Light. He is loved and respected worldwide for his inspirational lectures on the Near-Death Experience, Palliative and Hospice Care, Complementary and Alternative Healing Practices, and Self-Awareness. Since 1977, Dannion has worked diligently, looking for the best way to integrate conventional and complimentary medicine.
Having survived numerous brushes with death, Dannion is an expert in the dying process. He was struck twice by lightning and has since survived heart failure, open-heart surgery, ruptured subdural hematomas, brain surgery, and a massive grand maul seizure. That first lightning strike radically changed his life. Dannion became a hospice and nursing home volunteer. In the past 25 years of volunteer service, he has been at the bedside of over 340 people at the point of death, and more than 1200 during their final days, accruing more than 16,000 hours of service.

Christmas Eve Special |
|
| Wednesday December 24, 2008 |
In a special Christmas Eve edition of Coast to Coast AM, George Noory spoke with four different guests for one hour each. First up was author and NDE expert Dannion Brinkley, whose new book Secrets of the Light is just out. He offered some of his predictions, stemming from visions he had in 1976: In the next year and a half, beings from another dimension will communicate via electronic sources such as digital TV about the world we think of as heaven. Solar flares in 2010 will enhance this effect. We'll also see some amazing advances in medicine. Astronomer Hugh Ross talked about his new book Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, which integrates observations about the cosmos with biblical theology. The idea of a multiverse is not anti-Christian in principle, as God has created a different realm for the angels that is independent of this universe, he said. Ross noted that all the planets in our solar system play a role in life on Earth. For instance, Jupiter acts as a gravitational s

Secret Door VII |
|
| Thursday November 27, 2008 |
In our 'Secret Door' Thanksgiving special, a variety of guests made surprise appearances. First through the door were the Psychic Twins, Terry & Linda Jamison who shared some of their predictions. They foresee advances in health care for 2009, including breakthroughs for AIDS, cancer, autism, and stem cell research. However, on the economic front, the new year will be a rough road with unemployment rising to 8 to 9%-- it will take at least 12 months for stocks to stabilize, they said. More of the Psychic Twins' predictions will be featured in the January issue of After Dark.In the second hour, the surprise guest was medium James Van Praagh who spoke about his communications with spirits. He said he recently encountered what may have been the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, though he noted spirits of loved ones are most likely to visit in the first two years after their death. Entering through the secret door in the third hour, author and lecturer David Icke stirred up contr

Purging Negative Spirits |
|
| Tuesday November 11, 2008 |
Exorcist and psychic Jeffrey Seelman discussed his work with negative and demonic spirits, and what it takes to purge them from an environment. Negative spirits are typically deceased persons who were negative while they were alive, while demonic entities may never have been human, he explained. Such beings can be drawn to a home, business or person when there is an opening, typically associated with negative emotional energy, he said. Negative spirits can deliberately attack or influence human emotions, and even create condensed "energy devices" that are emotionally harmful, he noted. Seelman, who said he was asked by helpful spirits to join their organization, conducts his business by clearing hotspots of negative emotional energy and then releasing and banishing negative spirits from the afflicted area. One way people can protect themselves from negative spirits is by strengthening and expanding their auras through mental exercises, he shared. He spoke about a recent case inv

A Morgus Surprise |
|
| Friday November 11, 2005 |
During Open Lines George offered a 'surprise' hotline and was himself surprised when New Orleans-based television personality Dr. Morgus instantly 'teleported' into the LA studio while they were chatting on the phone. The two fielded calls together, then later in the show Morgus asked George to help him with an experiment.Morgus explained he could use his superior powers of mind over matter to stop a punch in mid-motion, so George reluctantly agreed to take a swing at him. Unfortunately, like so many of Morgus' experiments, it failed and George accidentally struck him, loosening one of Morgus' four remaining teeth. Throughout the evening George played a musical tribute to veterans from all branches of the armed forces, and at the end of the program presented his rendition of H.G. Wells' The Story of the Inexperienced Ghost.

Rearview Mirror Tales |
|
| Friday April 15, 2005 |
During Open Lines, George offered a special topic line for people who have seen strange 'passengers' in their car's rearview mirror. Dan in Los Angeles recounted the time he saw an "exact duplicate" of himself smiling and following after him in a VW Bug. Dan said one of his friends also reported seeing the mysterious doppelganger, and suggested that everyone may have an "angel" that resembles them. Connie from Reno, Nevada told a story about a friend who saw her deceased father in the rearview mirror. According to Connie's friend, the back seat of her car was vacant, yet whenever she looked into the mirror she could see her father's ghostly image. She claims her father's spirit rode with her the whole way home every time she was scheduled to work at night, but he disappeared when she went back to day shift.A caller from the shores of Lake Erie described the potentially deadly situation she found herself in as her car lost control atop a slick, icy surface. As the accide

NDE Visions & Hospice Work |
|
| Thursday November 11, 2004 |
Author, lecturer and hospice worker Dannion Brinkley returned to the show to discuss his near death experiences (NDEs) and his work with dying veterans. He said he'd had three major NDEs, once when he was hit by lightning in 1975, another time during open heart surgery, and a third episode during brain surgery in 1997. In the 1997 case, Art Bell conducted a radio experiment asking people to pray for Brinkley, who said he could see a "silver blue color" in his room at that moment. Brinkley also described an unusual occurrence when he was doing his hospice volunteering. An elderly vet, who had been one of the Tuskegee Airmen, was "talking" to his brother who was not physically in the room. Dannion said he saw "a beautiful silver being" that was lifting out the spirit of the vet, just as he was dying. The year 2004 holds great opportunity for spiritual growth or it could lead to an extended world war, Brinkley said, based on his "Final Vision" that he received in his 1975 NDE. The

The Spirit of Compassion |
|
| Tuesday January 14, 2003 |
"It's the turning point," said Dannion Brinkley (dannion.com) in a wide-ranging conversation he had with George this past Tuesday night. Brinkley had seen visions of World War III during his first near death experience in 1975 and believes we could be sitting on the precipice of such a war right now. Though we may be staring into the face of a turbulent future, Brinkley has served to heal the wounds of previous wars these past years. Through his organization, Compassion in Action, Brinkley has reached out to dying veterans of war, committing 14,000 hours of hospice time to them and sharing his unique and comforting life-after-death perspective. Dannion Brinkley, who was one of Art Bell's special guests over the years, was particularly vocal in his support of George Noory as the new host of Coast to Coast, and the continuation of the program as an invaluable forum.
