Robert Groden

Robert Groden

Biography:

Robert Groden lives in Dallas, TX. An early critic of the Warren Commission, he worked as a photographic and film consultant to the House Select Committee on Assassinations and testified to the Rockefeller Commission on CIA abuses. His "rotoscoped" version of the Zapruder film, enlarging and highlighting Kennedy's face, was taken from one of the original copies of the film, and was shown in the 1970s on the Geraldo Rivera program, the first time the Zapruder film of the assassination had been seen by the American public. He is a longtime member of COPA, and has appeared on numerous radio and television shows. Groden's meticulous work with all the photographic and film records of the event, the evidence and the autopsy have revealed a completely different version of the murder of JFK than the one told by the official investigations. He was also a consultant to Oliver Stone on his film JFK, and his suggestion to highlight the fact that the official records were still classified led to a groundswell of public pressure for their release, resulting in passage of the JFK Assassination Records Act in 1992.
