Paul Guercio is a nationally respected futurist and a long-time student of traditional and esoteric predictive systems. His 25 years of research into the Psychical Sciences and subsequent collaboration with Dr. George Hart directly resulted in the creation of the MERLIN Project. His clients include many prominent business people, politicians and celebrities.

In this forecasting special on the election, numerologist Glynis McCants appeared for the first two hours, followed by Paul Guercio of the Merlin Project in the latter half.McCants sized up the candidates, noting that Obama and Biden are both '2" lifepaths, so they are a compatible team. But Biden, she said, is in a personal year of '5' which can be a difficult time for a '2' lifepath. Palin is a '6,' a natural match with McCain who's also a '2.' Born on an '11' day, she looks to be a "powerhouse" this year, McCants continued. This is the first election that McCants can recall the two presidential candidates both having the same lifepath number. If Obama and Biden stop focusing on Palin and get back to the issues, she predicts they will be victorious. Paul Guercio of the Merlin Project discussed he and Dr. George Hart's software-based forecasting technology and its predictive timelines in such arenas as the war, the elections and 2012. Merlin captures in a graphical form timetraks which show the peaks and valleys of a person, place or event's future based on a starting or birth date. It offers a snapshot of how time is going to play out, he explained. The timeline for the war in Iraq showed a flurry of activity in 2003, followed by a gap, and then increasing in strength from 2005 through 2011, after which the line starts to disintegrate, he reported. Guercio also noted that Barack Obama announced his candidacy on the same day that General Petraeus assumed command in Iraq, so that changes of similar intensity might occur at the same time for both of them.

Futurist Paul Guercio of the Merlin Project returned to share forecasts for world events and people. Using a computer software program, The Merlin Project captures in a graphical form, "the hills and valleys" of a person or places' future based on a starting or birth date. Merlin can predict the time and size of change, but doesn't in the case of stocks, for instance, forecast whether the change will be positive or negative, he explained. Looking at the world stage, Guercio foresees a problem with North Korea starting now and increasing through 2007. He alsohandicapped the 2008 US presidential election candidates: On the Democratic side, it looks like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Mark Warner will not be in contention, according to their charts. Futurist Paul Guercio and physicist Dr. George Hart returned to discuss the Merlin Project, their forecasting technology that combines equations derived from celestial phenomena with specific dates, such as a person's birthdate. The system is based on the idea that time is a patterned entity which operates in a "seasonal" way on an annual basis (a concept Guercio said he learned from Lionel Day in the 1960's). Hart said that Merlin had an accuracy rating of 75 to 80% in terms of forecasting timelines that show periods of relevance or change in one's life. Thus their clients can use this information to their advantage. Hart also noted that 2/3 of their clients showed spikes in their charts for the year 2012. It's a "highly distilled method of astrology," that is computerized, said Hart, which can give you a detailed graph outlining the biggest moments in your life, Guercio added. The two are the founders of The Merlin Project, a scientifically-based forecasting technology that combines equations derived from celestial phenomena with specific dates (such as birthdates or key events) to yield a timeline that indicates upcoming fluctuations in energy.
