Paola Harris

Biography:

Paola Leopizzi Harrisis an Italo-American photojournalist and investigative reporter in the field of extraterrestrial related phenomena research. She is also a widely published, freelance writer, especially in Europe. She has studied extraterrestrial related phenomena since 1979 and is on personal terms with many of the leading researchers in the field. From 1980-1986 she assisted Dr. J. Allen Hynek with his UFO investigations and has interviewed many top military witnesses concerning their involvement in the government truth embargo. She is a long time collaborator with Dr. Roberto Pinotti, Director of the Centro Ufologico Nationale (CUN).

In 1997, Ms. Harris met and interviewed Col. Philip Corso in Roswell, New Mexico and became a personal friend and confidante. She was instrumental in having his book The Day After Roswell, for which she wrote the preface, translated into Italian. She consequently brought Colonel Corso to Italy for the editorial group Futuro, publisher of Il Giorno Dopo Roswell, and Corso was present for many TV appearances and two conferences. She returned to Roswell in the summer of 2003 for the American debut of her book, Connecting the Dots making sense of the UFO Phenomena, published by Granite Press.

During Open Lines, George offered a 'Weird Stories' hotline. He also asked for a few native Hawaiians to phone into the show and speak in the Pidgin language. A caller near Dallas, Texas recounted a strange experience she had while working as a nurse. The caller said one of her dying patients told her she could see a man dressed in white and her deceased sister standing outside the window. According to the caller, the patient was told by her sister that it was okay for her to go. She passed away an hour later, the caller said.Jim in Colorado Springs recalled when his grandmother was on her deathbed. He said the woman in the room next to his grandmother's came in one night, put her hand on his grandmother's head and said "Lord, take this child home. She's suffered long enough." 	Concealed Carry of Guns

Founder of the think tank Good For The Country, Inc., John Longenecker presented the case for concealed carry of handguns in the United States. If a person is in a situation such as a school or mall shooting, there is a period of time (at least four minutes) before help can arrive-- and they are their own first line of defense, he stated. Many crimes are de-escalated by armed citizens, without a gun even having to be fired, he added. Longenecker compared concealed gun carry to CPR-- in a gravely dangerous situation, if you don't intervene, the results can be irrevocable. Two million people have permits for concealed weapons in the U.S., and everyone should have the freedom to choose this option in order to defend themselves if necessary, he argued. 	Ufology & Comet Collision

Appearing in the second half of the show, researcher Michael Salla discussed a possible comet collision that former air traffic controller/alien contactee Eric Julien claims will occur. He reportedly studied the path of comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann and declared that a fragment is highly likely to impact the Earth on or around May 25, 2006. Salla said that Julien based this on the comet's position in the ecliptic plane using NASA's Near Earth Object tracking program and was also given messages about the date by his ET contacts. Journalist Paola Harris and ufologist A.J. Gevaerd (ufo.com.br) discussed the movement towards UFO disclosure in Brazil and around the world. Gevaerd detailed how he and a group of investigators had been pressuring the Brazilian military for some time to release files related to UFOs, and had gathered thousands of signatures on a petition through their UFO-related magazine. Charles Hall recounted stories from his many meetings with alien beings that he referred to as the 'Tall Whites,' which he said took place from 1965-7, while he worked as a weather observer at Nellis AFB in Indian Springs, Nevada. Rather than an event, disclosure is a process, said Salla, that is pieced together from various whistleblower's testimonies. One such whistleblower is Charles Hall, who was a weather observer stationed at Nellis AFB, and wrote a series of fictionalized books based on his real life encounters with aliens, Harris detailed. While Earlene focused on UFO research and support, Shurlene began having numerous direct encounters. "I woke up in a UFO," said Shurlene, of her first experience. She described a craft with large circular windows that was traveling through the galaxy. Dave vonKleist, co-host of The Power Hour radio program, shared evidence from his video, 911: In Plane Site, which documents unexplained circumstances involving events at the Pentagon and WTC. One of the inexplicable elements of the Pentagon attack, was that only a 16 ft. hole was created at the crash site (a Boeing 757 is over 44 ft. tall and 125 ft. wide) and he suggested that it was possible a missile hit the structure rather than the commercial jet. She said she had recently traveled to Switzerland and met with legendary contactee Billy Meier. "This case has to be reopened," she commented, citing the voluminous amounts of photographic evidence that Meier has produced, including pictures he allegedly took from an alien craft.
