Joel Martin

Biography:

Joel Martin is nationally recognized as a paranormal expert and best selling author. His newest book, co-authored with William Birnes is The Haunting of the Presidents: A Paranormal History of the U.S. Presidency. Since the early 1970s, Joel has been a rado talk show host, and as a TV talk show host, he won the Cable Ace Award. As an investigative reporter about the paranormal & psychic phenomena, he discovered internationally renowned medium, George Anderson, and exposed The Amityville Horror as a hoax. Joel is also a network TV consultant about the paranormal and has made many TV appearances.

	Presidential Ghosts

Paranormal expert and author Joel Martin returned to share a history of ghostly activities that have occurred in the White House, which he has documented in his book The Haunting of the Presidents. Witnesses generally report seeing apparitions of the Presidents whose lives were cut short or they may be seen during a time of great conflict, such as Lincoln's appearance during WW II, he detailed. In fact, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln is the most frequently seen of all the Presidents, said Martin, who added that a number of these sightings were made by unimpeachable witnesses. The assassination of Lincoln may have been part of a "20 year curse" that was originally placed on William Henry Harrison (who died during his brief tenure in the White House in 1841). Because Harrison had earlier angered some American Indians,Tecumseh's brother Tenskwatawa, who was nicknamed "The Prophet," allegedly made the curse that a "great white leader will die every twenty years," Martin explained ... Author and radio host Joel Martin appeared on Wednesday night's show to talk about his book The Haunting of the Presidents, which documents paranormal activity in the White House, from George Washington through the Clinton Administration. "He's wandering around the White House," Martin said of the tall apparition that has been recognized as the ghost of Abraham Lincoln on more than one occasion. He even supposedly knocked on the door of the Queen of the Netherlands who was staying at the White House in the 1940's. Lincoln had a number of premonitions leading up to his death, including a vivid dream where he saw a casket draped in the American flag, Martin recounted. Kennedy also had premonitions, but believed he couldn't be harmed, a medium who said she was in contact with JFK's spirit told Martin.
