David Wolfe is considered by peers to be the world's leading authority on raw-food nutrition and exotic diets. As a professional health lecturer, David conducts over 100 inspirational seminars and hosts eight adventure retreats each year. David has degrees in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, Political Science, as well as a law degree from the University of San Diego. He has also studied at Oxford University. Author and researcher Christian Wilde reported on alternative approaches to treating heart disease. In the third hour, he was joined by holistic expert Gabriel Cousens, MD, and raw food authority David Wolfe. Wilde noted that turmeric has been shown to have strong anti-inflammatory properties in the body, and the arteries in particular. A cardiac patient, Duane, appeared for a segment to tell of his miraculous recovery from severe heart damage. He participated in a trial at the Arizona Heart Institute, receiving a stem cell injection in his heart. After just a few days he began to feel better, and it was later observed that the damaged areas of his heart had been replaced by healthy cells. Cousens discussed the epidemic of diabetes in America, and reported that a "live food" diet can successfully treat the disease. Raw food pioneer David Wolfe presented his take on nutrition and "super foods." Raw food nutrition has "radically changed my life," he declared, explaining that eating the right type of diet can transform consciousness and raise energy levels. Many people have become disconnected from natural sources of nutrition and further, by cooking their food, they are deprived of its life energy and enzymes, he said. Wolfe, who goes by the nickname of "Avocado," suggested daily consumption of vegetable juice, salads and leafy green vegetables. Cacao was one of the super foods he recommended.
