John Zaffis

Biography:

John Zaffis has over thirty years of experience studying and investigating the paranormal. He has had the opportunity to work for, and with, his aunt and uncle, Ed and Lorraine Warren. John has assisted and worked with well-known exorcists who include Bishop Robert McKenna, Malachi Martin and the Rev Jun. Through hands-on work with other investigators and clergy, he has obtained a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the paranormal and is considered one of the foremost authorities in the field today.

He has also worked extensively with both spiritualists and psychics concerning how their knowledge is used for channeling, reincarnation, or the calling of the spirits for information. John has been featured in Discovery Channel documentaries and has appeared on Unsolved Mysteries, Fox News Live, and many other print and news media events. John's first book, Shadows of the Dark, co-written with Brian McIntyre, was recently released and he is currently working on multiple follow-up books.

Futurist Paul Guercio of the Merlin Project returned to share forecasts for world events and people. Using a computer software program, The Merlin Project captures in a graphical form, "the hills and valleys" of a person or places' future based on a starting or birth date. Merlin can predict the time and size of change, but doesn't in the case of stocks, for instance, forecast whether the change will be positive or negative, he explained. Looking at the world stage, Guercio foresees a problem with North Korea starting now and increasing through 2007. He alsohandicapped the 2008 US presidential election candidates: On the Democratic side, it looks like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Mark Warner will not be in contention, according to their charts. Appearing in the middle two hours, paranormal investigator John Zaffis shared cases of hauntings and demonic possession. He said that lately he's seen an upswing in the number of incubus/succubus attacks in which people are sexually molested by spirit entities. He also discussed his forthcoming book, The Struggle Within, about a woman who had 16 exorcisms, many of them performed by Bishop McKenna. The entities had different levels or ranks, and it became easier to expel them after they had been named, he reported. In the case of possession, he explained that entities wear down an individual in order to gain control of them in a concealed manner. There are different levels of demonic entities with varying "assignments" and an afflicted person is sometimes inhabited by multiple beings, he said. Zaffis added that it can often take a number of separate exorcisms in order to rid the possessed of the spirits. He believes that these entities are not the deceased and that "they've never walked the Earth." Paranormal investigator John Zaffis returned to the show, along with two witnesses, to discuss a significant poltergeist case that recently occurred to a New England family. A young girl going through puberty initially became the focus of unusual activity, with her heavy bed moving on its own. Spirits may be attracted to a child's energy or aura during adolescence, as they can draw on this energy (as well as that of electrical appliances) in order to manifest, explained Zaffis. Paranormal researcher and nephew of Ed and Lorraine Warren, John Zaffis, shared insights and experiences he has accumulated in his 30 years of dealing with hauntings, possessions, and exorcisms.One of the most dramatic cases, he said, was his investigation at a former funeral home 17 years ago, where he witnessed an apparition of a demonic entity. The case was made into a Discovery Channel docudrama called A Haunting in Connecticut. About 60% of the cases he investigates involve negative entities, Zaffis said, but that may be because of his association with clergy, who are called in to help with demonic hauntings or possessions.
