The Pharmaceutical Cartel

Fifty miles off the coast of Nantucket, 250 feet beneath the Atlantic, lies the RMS Republic and her secret treasure. As soon as Republic sank, rumors spread of a precious cargo, but the ship has kept her secrets intact for over a century, until now. Life-long treasure hunter Martin Bayerle joined Connie Willis (email) for all four hours to discuss how he has devoted the past 35 years of his life researching the shipwreck and proving the existence of her reputed cargo of 150,000 American Eagle gold coins, a bounty worth a billion dollars in today’s economy, and his quest to recover the it on his second attempt at the Republic.

The Pharmaceutical Cartel

Show Archive
Date: Wednesday - December 3, 2003
Host: George Noory
Guests: Jon Rappoport

Investigative writer Jon Rappoport blew the lid off the pharmaceutical cartel calling them a "greed machine," that in the name of profit seeks to manage rather than cure diseases. Further, he believes many prescribed medicines are harmful. "100,000 die in the U.S. from the correct administration of approved FDA drugs in hospitals," Rappoport stated.

"Why hasn't anyone brought the FDA into court on criminal prosecution?" he asked. At the highest level, "they do not want cures-- they want to control the population," Rappoport said of the "secret societies," who he said benefits from people's debilities and "making the world into a virtual hospital."

Countering this, Rappoport noted that natural medicine has become a stronghold in recent times, as more people embrace alternative approaches. However, over the years there have been numerous cases of suppression of promising treatments for diseases like cancer by various agencies. Specifically he mentioned the pioneering work of Dr. William Koch, who demonstrated cancer cures as far back as 1917, and Dr. Joseph Gold who was associated with hydrazine sulfate, both of whom were discredited because of their efforts.
