UFO Cover-Ups & Secrecy

Show Archive
Date: Thursday - March 3, 2005
Host: George Noory
Guests: Richard Dolan

Author and researcher Richard Dolan discussed UFO cover-ups and secrecy and how it has "affected so much of our significant history," and altered the relationship between the U.S. government and its citizens.

Dolan said secret UFO programs are so "deeply compartmentalized" that not even Congress knows about them. He admitted that several U.S. presidents, including Truman, Eisenhower, and Kennedy, knew about UFOs and were briefed regularly about them. President Truman, for instance, received quarterly UFO reports from General Robert Landry, Dolan reported.

Dolan called UFO secrecy "a kind of cancer on American society," which enforces a pattern of government lying. According to Dolan, "there's no incentive to reveal a secret once [the government has] it," especially if it provides technological advantage in war. The end result of so much government lying is an uninformed and distrustful citizenry, and a lie that is too big to be undone.
