Past Lives & Metaphysics

About the show

Dr. George Schwimmer became the first person certified in past-life therapy, utilizing such techniques as past-life regression, visualization healing, and the guidance of the higher self. He discussed how the death of his son David set him off on a metaphysical path, and his investigations into Edgar Cayce, altered states of consciousness, shamanism, and the ancient civilization of Mu (Lemuria). After David died in a kayaking accident, he learned that many friends and family had premonitions of his death, and a number of them including Schwimmer began receiving after-death messages from him. His grandmother even reported seeing him appear lit up with blue light in her bedroom.

Schwimmer has drawn several conclusions from his studies and metaphysical experiences: Not only does our consciousness survive death, but we exist pre-life, and we all reincarnate. "We all have a game plan before we come to planet Earth. We have a spiritual committee...that helps you to plan the next life, based on previous lives...and what you haven't experienced or learned," he stated. Additionally, we have "cosmic families" that reincarnate together and play different roles for each lifetime, he added.

Virtually every civilization around the Pacific Rim had a legend about a great continent that went down in a massive flood, and Schwimmer believes they were referring to Mu, which incorporated such locations as Hawaii and Easter Island. Interestingly, he characterized the Atlanteans (a colony of Mu), as a "bad lot," who lost touch with their spirituality-- something he sees happening in our society today. He also shared a visualization technique for contacting one's higher self: While meditating, picture a huge 3-story quartz crystal that opens a door to a staircase. At the top of the staircase is your higher self that can answer questions for you.

Space & Climate News

First hour guest, space historian Robert Zimmerman talked about climate change, and private space enterprise. A leaked draft of the UN's IPCC climate report, due out in October, finally admits that all the global warming predictions from previous IPCC reports have been wrong, he revealed, and this suggests that CO2 does not appear to cause global warming. Commercial space efforts are taking off, including Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo on its second powered flight, SpaceX upgrading its Falcon 9 rocket, and Japan successfully launching a new commercial rocket, Epsilon, he detailed.
