The US Air Force has given notice to Congress that it plans to shutdown the HAARP facility in Alaska after a final experiment in June. David Walker, deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for science, technology and engineering, said their work using the facility to manage the ionosphere had been completed, and they were moving on to other approaches.
