Robotics manufacturer Boston Dynamics unveiled video this week showing its 'AlphaDog' quadrupedic robot prototype. Funded by DARPA and designed for military use, AlphaDog can navigate uneven terrain, carry up to 400 pounds, trot beside soldiers for around 20 miles, and even stand up after lying on its side.
