American Tourist Visiting Scotland Spots the Loch Ness Monster

An Idaho man vacationing in Scotland was lucky enough to have the quintessential tourist experience in the country when he spotted the Loch Ness Monster!

While visiting the famed home of the legendary cryptid, Dakota Frandsen reportedly caught sight of a strange shape lurking in the waters near the iconic Urquhart Castle which sits on the shore of Loch Ness.

Upon closer inspection, Frandsen made the curious observation that the large, dark anomaly seemed to possess skin akin to that of a hippopotamus.

Gary Campbell of the Official Register of Sightings at Loch Ness told the UK newspaper The Mirror that the "there were a number of shapes seen in the water so it may be Nessie and her family."

Although its impossible to say what the oddities in the water may have been, based on Frandsen's account, it would appear that they were living creatures as the large one seemed to respond to a speedboat that passed nearby.

Unfortunately, there is no indication that Frandsen was able to snap any pictures of his fortuitous sighting, leaving us to simply scratch our heads while expressing a bit of envy over his Nessie sighting.
