Arachnophobe Lawyer Freaks Out, Pulls Gun On Fake Spiders!

A prosecuting attorney is so scared of spiders he allegedly pulled a gun to shoot fake web spinners found in his office.

For those suffering from arachnophobia, which is a near-crippling fear of spiders, the sight of even fake ones may send a person into panic mode.

Yet, witnesses say that a West Virginia assistant prosecutor, Chris White, blew his top when he saw that fake spiders had been placed all over his office, Fox News reported.

.On Oct. 5, 2015, several secretaries had festooned the office with traditional Halloween decorations - including the eight-legged creepy crawlers, WCHS-TV reported.

"He said they had spiders everyplace and he said he told them it wasn’t funny and he couldn’t stand them," chief Logan County prosecutor John Bennett told media.

"And he did indeed get a gun out," he said, adding that the office secretaries couldn't tell whether the gun was loaded or not. "It had no clip in it."

Reportedly, White didn’t aim the gun at any coworkers, he just threatened to shoot the fake spiders.

The arachnophobe attorney who has since been suspended may face charges or termination, according to reports.

"I never saw it coming - that’s for sure," Bennett said. "I wouldn’t have even hired him...it's certainly out of the ordinary."

Bennet said that firearms have now been banned from the office.
