Art Bell Vault: Off the Grid

Our newest feature for Coast Insiders, The Art Bell Vault, offers an expanding curated collection with two vintage shows added to the mix each Wednesday. This week's programs center around the intriguing concept of disconnecting from society, albeit in two very different ways, beginning with an episode from 2/2/99 in which Art spoke with private investigator Edmund Pankau, who revealed how one can successfully disappear without a trace. Explaining that only about 1 in 5 people attempting such a feat are successful, he shared some of the important steps and rules which must be adhered to if you truly wish to vanish from society.

Next, we highlight a fascinating program from August 28, 2004 wherein Art was joined by author Eric Brende, who recounted how he and his wife gave up their modern lifestyle for 18 months to live a more minimalist existence with an Anabaptist community which eschews any and all motorized or automated equipment to the point that even the Amish consider their way of living to be rather primitive. In the first hour of the show, Whitley Strieber talked about the potential for a pole reversal, a troubling volcano on the island of Las Palmas, and the legendary case of the Elmendorf Beast.

These vintage programs have commercials and breaks removed and are presented in multiple-platforms-- available on-demand for Mac, Windows, IOS, and Android. Many of them feature rare "5th" hours of content from back in the 90s when the show had a longer running time. We do include Art's beloved bumper music, which became such an indelible part of his program.

And for the true Art Bell fan, we offer different listening options to fine-tune your experience, such as guest only, and full show streams. Coast Insiders, we're very happy to bring this new offering to you at no additional charge to your subscription! We welcome your feedback.
