'Blades' Seen on Jupiter's Great Red Spot

The vast cyclonic storm that is Jupiter's Great Red Spot (GRS) is transforming. The vortex-like formation has been growing smaller in recent years (it was once the size of three-Earths, now just one). And just in the last two weeks, amateur astronomers have discovered "blades" and "flakes" spinning out of the GRS, leading some to speculate that the storm itself may be "unraveling" and possibly coming to an end.
